Finished Reading BFL

Tuesday, December 13th, 2005

i finished reading the Body for life book today.  I think its a great read, full of excellent information, however there seemed to be nothing about stretching muscles before of after a workout…?  I think the book summed up a lot of information into a great read and is perfect for beginners.  I wish i had read this book a few years ago when i had started to work out as i would have had a lot more knowledge about dieting and nutrition (an area i have never paid attention till about a month ago).  I think i will continue with my current workout style (yet to be added to the workout page).  BFL has a upper/lower body split workout, but i am currently doing a 4 day split focusing on chest/tricepts, back/bicepts, shoulders/traps & legs, with every other day doing 20mins of cardio.

BFL quote

“The limits you are living with right now, in every aspect of your existence, have been created by your mind. They are perceptions. And they are holding you back.”

“With resistance training and life, the simple, inescapable fact is that maximum intensity occurs after you have “perceived” failure.  Those who can go beyone that - to a higher point - to push themsleves to a place where they have not been before are the ones who will experience dramatic results, fast.”
